Nursing/Bib Clips

These clips are SO convenient, and so easy to make! I hate carrying a diaper bag, and usually opt for a purse, so I carry as little with me as possible. Instead of bringing bibs with me, I can just throw this in my purse, and attach a napkin to it for my daughter! When the new baby comes, I can throw my nursing clip in my purse, and just use whatever blanket I have with me as a nursing cover.
You'll need some kind of clip, and grosgrain ribbon. I used the alligator clips with teeth. Another kind of clip I'd recommend are these or these.
For the bib clip, I used 17 ½ inches worth of grosgrain ribbon. For the nursing clip, I used 28 inches. Measure it around your neck, or your baby’s neck to make sure this is the right size for you!
Start with sealing your ribbon ends by running them over a flame.
Cover your alligator clip with the ribbon. For best results, put about an inch of hot glue on your ribbon at a time, stick it to the clip, and glue another inch.
Add embellishments!
These are great as gifts for a baby shower. They’re SO convenient to just throw in your diaper bag and grab at any time. Need a bib? As long as you have a napkin or a burp cloth, you’ve got one! Need to nurse? As long as you’ve got a blanket, you’re covered. ;)

  8. These are really cute! It's probably better to use a napkin anyway so that you can just throw it away when you are done!
