Kisses for your Sweetest!

Normally I don't celebrate Sweetest Day, but I saw it as an excuse to bake, so I jumped right in! My mom used to make us these kisses for Valentine's Day. I updated them, and gave them a coat of chocolate. This is the perfect gift for kids for Sweetest Day or Valentine's Day! Get creative and see what you can fix up. Here ya go!

What you'll need:
Rice Krispies
Marshmallows
Chocolate (optional)
Foil

Start by making your Rice Krispie's treats. My general rule of thumb is 1 package of Rice Krispies to 1 package of marshmallows. I think I grabbed a larger box of cereal this time though, because I only needed 3/4 of the package. Throw your marshmallows in the microwave for 2 intervals of 30 seconds, or until they're completely melted.
The Rice Krispie's recipe calls for butter, but I usually leave it out because I don't see where it make much of a difference. If you're adding butter, add it now. Add your cereal to your marshmallows and mix in.
Before your mixture sets, form it into kisses. I definitely recommend spraying your hands with Pam before you do this, or else it will be a horrible sticky mess! My mixture got me 3 kisses of varying size.
Melt your chocolate in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until it's completely melted. I used Hershey's chocolate chips, because after all, I'm making giant kisses, might as well taste like them!
Cover your kisses in chocolate, then put them in the freezer to set. It took about 20-30 minutes for mine to set.
While your chocolate is setting, go to your computer and print off some cute sayings! Since I was making mine for Sweetest Day, I printed off "Happy Sweetest Day", "I Love You", and "Kisses".
Cut your sayings into strips, and tape them together if needed. I had to tape together 2-3 sayings in order to make it long enough to tuck under the kiss and peak out the top.
When your kisses are set, take them out of the freezer. Cut a strip of aluminum foil that's slightly longer than it is wide (this worked best for the size kisses I had). Make sure your foil is shiny side down. Lay your saying on the foil, printed side down, and put your kiss on top of it. Wrap it all up, and see how cute it is!

If you have a helper, feel free to use up that extra chocolate. ;)
I had to use a real Hershey's kiss for comparison.
